Four parts of IELTS SkillSet

Listening

Listening is the first section of the IELTS test. Under this section, students need to answer 40 questions after listening to 4 different audios in a timeframe of 60 minutes. The questions will be in the format of short answers, multiple-choice, sentence completion, and others.

Reading

Under the Reading Section, there will be three different passages. The overall courses will be around 2000 to 2500 words. And one needs to answer 40 Questions based on those passages within 60 minutes. The Questions for the reading section are in the format of multiple-choice, sentence completion, true-false, and short answer questions.

Writing

This Section of the test covers two writing assessments for students. The first assessment will be to explain the visual content or diagram in around 150 words. In the Second assessment, a situation is given, and students need to provide their own opinion in the given case. It will be around 200 words. Sixty minutes are allocated to the writing section.

Speaking

The is the last section of the exam which consist of verbal interaction with the examiner for about 10 to 20 minutes. There are three tasks in the Speaking Section. First, students need to give a description of themselves within a few minutes in. The second task will be to speak on a given topic for 1-2 minutes. One minute of preparation time is given for the second task. In the third task, students will have interaction with the examiner on a particular issue.

What is IELTS score rank ?

The IELTS score will be of 9 bands. Every section will be equated out of 9, and its average will be the final score. The score will be between 0 and 9. Zero will be the lowest, and nine will be the highest.
